Since founded in Murray, Utah in 2003, we have been servicing Utah and Idaho’s growing wireless infrastructure. We inspect, maintain, repair, remove, retrofit, and build new sites for the top 5 wireless carriers, key government agencies such as the Department of Transportations and more.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Liberty Electric is currently looking for Tower Technicians. As a Tower Technician some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: installation of new cell towers, maintenance, repairs, or retrofitting antenna equipment and power systems. This may include high towers, inclement weather, remote sites and long hours. Tower Technicians need to be able to interpret various documents including blueprints, diagrams and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper installation. Each day Tower Technicians will create detailed documentation of work performed which includes records of maintenance performed on all equipment.

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass a Pre-employment Drug test.
  • Must comply with No Tolerance drug policy.
  • Intermediate iPad literacy.
  • Excellent work ethic, with drive and organizational skills to work unsupervised.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy (5 years of history).
  • Ability to pass in-house training.
  • Ability to pass coursework to obtain certification.
  • Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 pound load and to perform work at altitudes above 300 feet.
  • Ability to consistently lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to properly care for and use hand tools, power tools and personal protective gear.
  • Ability to travel on short notice.
  • Ability to work hours outside of normal schedule with little or no advance notification required.
  • Applicant/Employee's weight and tools combined may not exceed 280-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.
  • Applicant/Employee's waist circumference must not exceed 60 inches measured at the navel as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment.
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend, twist, squat and lift 50 pounds, and pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable interacting within all levels of company and customer organizations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with ability to solve problems and maintain positive attitude.
